The CSCS Alliance is committed to driving up standards and safety across the UK’s construction and built environment sectors. Our key strategic priorities for 2024 – 2026 are:
Competence Visibility and Assurance
We aim to enhance the visibility of all CSCS cardholders’ competence by making the CSCS Smart Check App the standard tool for qualifications and training verification across the UK.
Skills Insights
Positioning ourselves as the leading authority on skills and training insights within construction, we will influence UK policymakers to support skill development, promote clarity, and create growth opportunities in the sector.
Continued Professional Development (CPD)
The competence of the construction workforce is at the heart of the Building Safety Act. We will collaborate with industry stakeholders to align the card issuing thresholds, which may include CPD, with the  competency expectations of the Building Safety Act 2022.
Representation and Advocacy
The CSCS Alliance will continue to represent and advocate for the construction industry, influencing decision-makers to enhance the reputation of the Alliance and embedding a “competence culture” within the sector.
Fraud Prevention
To tackle fraud, we will implement a code of practice to share intelligence and prevent the issuance of fraudulent CSCS cards, safeguarding the integrity of the workforce.
